I spent six years at AWS on Route 53. After leaving, I decided to build things for myself instead. No cloud budget, no team, just whatever I can ship.

I built Ballard Spot Roulette, a random restaurant picker for the neighborhood. It gets real traffic and helped me figure out what shipping something solo actually feels like.

When I'm not at my desk, I'm running or writing. Most of the posts here are me working through the transition from big company to whatever comes next.
